The trip to convention

Wow, what a trip to get to Farmington, NM. I'm here for the Cherish Bound convention and I carpooled with 3 other consultants-Teresa, Stephanie, and Kayla. I've never been on a road trip with just a bunch of girls and it was a blast. We laughed and talked for 750 miles. We saw a 300+ head cattle drive with real cowboys and a train wreck (which I apparently slept through), a house totally engulfed in flames and an 8 cop car drug bust. On top of that we crossed the border into Colorado. You're right if you know your geography and think that Colorado is NOT on the way to New Mexico from Idaho. We were having such a good time talking that we missed the junction and had to backtrack. This was my daily "God's hand in my life" moment. If we hadn't missed the junction and had to backtrack we would have missed the most amazing scenery. We were awe struck and had to stop to take pictures.

This is a first!

When I first heard about blogging I was a little skeptical but also intrigued. I have never been good at keeping a journal but I believe that they are important. Would I be able to keep one updated online? Would I have enough to say? I'm going to give it a try. I was listening to one of the religious leaders of my church this past weekend talking about the importance of recording the events of our lives. In particular, recording the evidences of God's hand in our lives every day. What have I seen in the past couple of days...... Well, let me think about that. I'm going to New Mexico on Thursday for a convention and work is hectic right now but I'm not going to have to cancel my plans. That is God's hand preparing the way to be sure I can go. I'm sure there are other evidences and I will record them later. I just wanted to get going on this to see if I will be able to keep it updated.
